Start time:Please plan on arriving at our Healdsburg office at 10 o'clock in the morning. You will launch your canoe about 30 minutes after your arrival at our office. Actual paddle time is approximately 3 hours, and most people usually take a leisurely, fun 4 - 5 hours to complete the trip. Would you like a shorter trip? Click here to see our newly added HALF DAY TRIP!We launch from the base of Memorial Beach Dam, just steps from our office in Healdsburg.Rental Period:We ask our guests to arrive at our office sign-in between 9:30 - 10 am, so that the actual launch takes place before 10:30 am. The period of rental officially ends at 5:00 pm on the day of rental. We will offer a 45 minute grace period for late arrivals. Any canoe that has not arrived at our Wohler Bridge Take-Out by 5:45 pm will be assessed a late charge of $50 per canoe. The renter of record whose credit card we have will be charged and responsible for all late arrivals in that party. Any canoe that arrives after 7 pm will be charged an additional $50. This policy will be strictly enforced!
Prices:Adults - $50.00 per personChildren - (ages 2 - 12) $25.00Note: Children 12 and under must wear a lifejacket at all times while in a SOAR canoe.Infants - $25.00There must be 2 adults in this canoe. The infant must be directly in front of an adult that is a competent swimmer. The other person must be comfortable paddling a canoe / raft. If not, please leave your infant with a sitter.Dogs - $10 ea.Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times at our office and in our parking lot. Attention to your dog's physical condition is necessary. Dogs get tired from all of the swimming and running. We sell doggie life jackets at our store.Groups: A group of 10 or more adults qualifies for a group discount, if one person in the group pays for all members of the group. Necessary Gear Checklist:*Food and beverages: You will get hungry and thirsty on the river, so plan a picnic lunch including your favorite beverages. Our rafts can hold coolers up to 45 qts.No Styrofoam coolers allowed.*Hat and Sunscreen*Water shoes, Aqua socks, or tennis shoes. Do not go barefoot! Flip flops not recommended!*Swim suit, Shorts, T-Shirt Jeans not recommended.*Towels: During the hot summer months, we recommend you leave your towel in the car for when you return.*Cell Phones: We request that each party have at least one cell phone on the river, and stored in the provided dry bag. You will use your cell phone to call us at a specified landmark, which alerts us to your arrival at the end of the river trip.SOAR Store: We have renovated a circa 1940 San Francisco cable car and converted it into our Russian River Adventures Welcome Center. We offer most of the necessary gear including: water sox, sunscreen, underwater cameras, waterproof bags ( for cell phones / PDA's / cameras ), lip balm, towels, sunglasses, sunglass savers, doggie life jackets, wide brimmed shade hats, ball caps and men's and women's tanks and tee's! If you don't have time to get any of the necessary gear before you leave, We now have it for you.Food Options: Pack a picnic or pick up lunch in Healdsburg or let prepare a picnic for you. The closest market to us is the A&M Market just around the corner. They can whip up a delicious, freshdeli sandwich, plus it's a convenient place for drinks, beer, water, ice, etc. A list of other excellent Healdsburg deli’s can be found here. Order from us! We'll order a wonderful lunch for you from a local deli, pack a cooler for you and stock it w/ cool non-alcoholic drinks. You are welcome to bring your own beer, wine and additionaldrinks. Guides: Our guides are part naturalist / part river guide / part fun guide. They are available to take your kids down the river while you visit wineries. Our guides know the best places to swim and of course where all the rope swings are. If you are a grown-up who acts like a kid and wants a guide to accompany you, we'll be glad to send a guide down stream with you, too. Guides $120 per day.

Have Your Own Canoe or Kayak? Need a shuttle?Option #1: Park at our office, take your watercraft to the river and we will guarantee you 1 space in our return shuttle to the office. You then return to the Wohler Bridge takeout to retrieve your watercraft and passengers. $20.00 / weekday $25.00 / weekend Reservations required. Subject to availability.Option #2: Park at our office and while you are on the river, we can drive your vehicle down to the Wohler Bridge takeout into a gated locked parking area. $25.00 / weekday $30.00 / weekend Reservations required. Subject to availability.

Reservation & Payment Policy:Full payment is due at the time of your reservation.Cancellation Policy:For Monday - Friday reservations, full refunds are possible if cancellation is made before 5 pm the day before the reservation date.For weekend reservations, full refunds are possible if cancellation is made before 5 pm on Thursday before the coming weekend.For groups of 8 or more cancellations must be made 7 days prior to your departure, cancellations made less than 7 days prior will be subject to a 10% per person cancellation fee. In case of rain or bad weather, there will be no refunds. This is the Dog-Friendly section where your dog is free to swim and romp all along the way. Since 2003, thousands of dogs have joined their owners on one of the mostfun day outings that any dog can ever have. SOAR canoes are so stable that even the biggest dogs can't tip them over. Our trip is guaranteed to tire even the most energetic of dogs!
