Prices:
Adults - $42.50 per person
Children - (ages 2 - 12) $25.00
Note: Children 12 and under must wear a lifejacket at all times while in a SOAR canoe.
Infants - $25.00
There must be 2 adults in this canoe. The infant must be directly in front of an adult that is a competent
swimmer. The other person must be comfortable paddling a canoe / raft. If not, please leave your infant with a
sitter.
Dogs - Dogs are not allowed dogs on our half day trip. We allow dogs on our full day trip, click here to be
redirected to that page.
Groups: A group of 10 or more adults qualifies for a group discount, if one person in the group pays for all
members of the group. Individual payments will be charged at the standard rate.
Weekend Group Rate: $37.50 per person - $5.00 pp discount
Weekday Group Rate ( Mon - Fri ): $35.00 - $7.50 pp discount
Directions:
From south of Healdsburg: Take highway 101 north. Exit at the
first Healdsburg exit (Healdsburg Avenue). At the bottom of the
exit, go right. Go past the metal canoe rental company and cross
over the Russian River Bridge. We are ½ block down on the
right hand side.You will see a sign for
‘Barbara Bourne Photography' Turn right into the parking lot,
and drive to the rear of the lot andpass through the gates.
Our office is on your left.
From north of Healdsburg: Take Old Redwood Highway exit
(the last Healdsburg exit). Turn left onto Healdsburg Avenue.
Continue past the metal canoe rental company and cross over
the Russian River Bridge. We are ½ block down on the right
hand side. You will see a sign for 'Barbara Bourne Photography'.
Turn right into the parking lot.
Our office is on your left.
From Guerneville: ( the fast route) head east on Main Street (Hwy 116) at the last stoplight in Guerneville
continue straight (Hwy 116 makes a right turn and crosses the Russian River Bridge, DO NOT GO THIS
ROUTE.) You are now on River Road continues straight for 13 miles till the next stoplight which is Fulton
Road. Make a left turn and drive for 1/4 mile to Hwy 101 North. Estimated time 30 minutes
From Sonoma: Take Hwy 12 ( Sonoma Hwy ) through Kenwood / Glen Ellen towards Santa Rosa. Sonoma
Hwy becomes 4th Street in Santa Rosa, stay straight on 4th Street. Take the College Ave fork to the right.
Follow College Ave to Hwy 101 North. Exit at the first Healdsburg exit (Healdsburg Avenue). At the bottom
of the exit, go right. Go past the metal canoe rental company and cross over the Russian River Bridge. We
are ½ block down on the right hand side. You will see a sign for 'Barbara Bourne Photography' . Turn right
into the parking lot, and drive to the rear of the lot and pass through the gates. Our office is on your left.
Estimated time 50 minutes
From downtown Healdsburg: Take Healdsburg Avenue south through the 5-way intersection. Continue
on Healdsburg Avenue to the next light with McDonalds on your left. At this light stay in the center lane.
The right lane is the southbound 101 freeway entrance. Continue on Healdsburg Avenue for 1/8 of
a mile. We are on your left, before the bridge.

Necessary Gear Checklist:
*Food and beverages: Light snacks and drinks are recommended
No Styrofoam coolers allowed.
*Hat and Sunscreen
*Water shoes, Aqua socks, or tennis shoes. Do not go barefoot!
Flip flops not recommended!
*Swim suit, Shorts, T-Shirt Jeans not recommended.
*Towels: During the hot summer months, we recommend you leave your towel in the car
for when you return.
SOAR Store: We have renovated a circa 1940 San Francisco cable car and
converted it into our Russian River Adventures Welcome Center. We offer most of the necessary
gear including: water sox, sunscreen, underwater cameras, waterproof bags
( for cell phones / PDA's / cameras ), lip balm, towels, sunglasses, sunglass savers, doggie life
jackets, wide brimmed shade hats, ball caps and men's and women's tanks and tee's!
If you don't have time to get any of the necessary gear before you leave, We now have it for you.
Food Options: Pack a picnic or pick up lunch in Healdsburg or let prepare a picnic for you.
The closest market to us is the A&M Market just around the corner. They can whip up a delicious, fresh
deli sandwich, plus it's a convenient place for drinks, beer, water, ice, etc. A list of other excellent
Healdsburg deli’s can be found here.
Order from us! We'll order a wonderful lunch for you from a local deli, pack a cooler for you
and stock it w/ cool non-alcoholic drinks. You are welcome to bring your own beer, wine and additional

Have Your Own Canoe or Kayak? Need a shuttle?
Option #1: Park at our office, take your watercraft to the river and we will guarantee you 1 space in
our return shuttle to the office. You then return to the Wohler Bridge takeout to retrieve your
watercraft and passengers. $20.00 / weekday $25.00 / weekend Reservations required. Subject to
availability.
Option #2: Park at our office and while you are on the river, we can drive your vehicle down to the
Wohler Bridge takeout into a gated locked parking area. $25.00 / weekday $30.00 / weekend
Reservations required. Subject to availability.

Reservation & Payment Policy:
Full payment is due at the time of your reservation.
Cancellation Policy:
For Monday - Friday reservations, full refunds are possible if cancellation is made before 5 pm the
day before the reservation date.
For weekend reservations, full refunds are possible if cancellation is made before 5 pm on Thursday
before the coming weekend.
For groups of 8 or more cancellations must be made 7 days prior to your departure, cancellations
made less than 7 days prior will be subject to a 10% per person cancellation fee. In case of rain or
bad weather, there will be no refunds. We will issue a rain check for a later date of your choosing.
No shows - If you book a reservation and you or someone in your group do not show up and do not
cancel, there will be no refund.

Rental Period:
Check-in for our half day trip is from 12:45pm to 1:45 pm. First launch begins at 1pm and the final launch time is
2:15pm. The rental period officially ends at 5:00 pm that same day. We will offer a 30 minute grace
period for late arrivals. Any canoe that has not arrived at Take-Out by 5:45 pm will be assessed a late
charge of $50 per canoe. The renter of record whose credit card we have will be charged and
responsible for all late arrivals in that party. Any canoe that arrives after 7 pm will be charged an
additional $50. This policy will be strictly enforced!
Return Shuttle:
The first return shuttle leaves the half day take-out at 3:00pm. Additional shuttles will run every 30 minutes
until 5:00pm. The last shuttle runs at 5:30pm.
Our half-day trip is the best on the river! You’ll find a great current, plenty of clean, clear water and loads
of beaches for excellent river swimming and cooling off during our hot summer days.
Take your time and lazily float this easy 4-mile stretch of Russian River immediately downstream of Healdsburg.

2013 Schedule:
Spring: We begin offering trips on Saturday March 30 depending on
weather and water levels. Please call us for
availability prior to arrival.
Summer: We will be open 7 days a week beginning Friday, May 17.
Fall: We will be open ALL weekends & most weekdays
during the month of October.
